Darwin Part Three - Museum of the Northern Territory and Mindl Beach Markets

After Crocosaurus Cove, we decided to go to the museum of the Northern Territories (http://www.nt.gov.au/nreta/museums/index.html) and go and see Sweetheart the Crocodile.  Sweetheart was a croc who had been accused of attacking boats and so someone decided to catch it...  Unfortunately, it died during this and they stuffed it and put it in the museum.

There was also a good Aboriginal art display on and a very interesting display on Cyclone Tracey which discussed the destruction of Darwin.
After we had been to the museum, we headed down to the Ski Club (http://www.darwinskiclub.com.au/) for a couple of drinks.  This has to be one of the best places in Darwin for a quiet drink overlooking the sea.  You can see some awesome sunsets from here whilst drinking a quiet beer with some locals.
We then headed off to the Mindl Beach Markets.  There were not as good as I remembered them from when I backpacked so we did not spend too long there....  However, Chris did get a chance to go for a paddle in the sea.

We then headed back to town to have some dinner and to get some sleep before our 6.30 am pick up the next morning to go to Kakadu National Park - the reason we had came to Darwin!!!!
